Chapter 36

Maz's POV
Emily came into our room.

Maz: Hey, where's everyone else?
Emily: Well, Kevin and Sarah are packing.
Maz: Why?
Emily: Because Sarah & Kevin just remembered that they we're meant to go have dinner with Sarah's parents and stay there for the night because they live on the other side of America, and they don't want to dissapoint them.
Nick: Oh, that sucks. Wait, Kevin did mention Sarah and her parents and some dinner.
Maz: Oh yeah, like a week ago.
Emily: Yeah, well that means Jake and I have a massive room for ourselves. Which will be much quieter.
Maz: Uh, I would thnk so, considering 2 out of the 4 people who are in there are leaving.
Emily: Shut up. *laughs*
Maz: Where's Joe?
Emily: I have no idea.
Nick: I'll go check his room.
Maz: Okay.
Emily: He's been very quiet lately
Maz: I know right. And his eyes are always red. He musn't be getting enough sleep.
Emily: Yeah maybe.

Just then Nick came in.

Nick:Joe's not in his room.
Emily: He's probably gone for a walk.
Nick: Yeah, I'll call him just to make sure he's okay.
Maz: Awwww you're such a caring brother.
Nick: Haha, shut up. I'm going to call him now so shhhhh!
Maz: Haha, okay.

Em and I talked quietly as Nick talked on the phone.

Nick:Hey Joe, Where are you?
Joe: Hey, just uh, walking towards the hotel. I had just walked down to the beach for some fress air.
Nick: Okay, just making sure you we're fine. Will you be long?
Joe: Nope, just 2 minute walk and I'll be there.
Nick: Okay, I'll see you soon then.
Joe: Bye
Nick: See ya.
Maz: Is he okay?
Nick: Yeah, as Emily said, he's gone for a walk.
Maz: He won't be long?
Nick: Nah, just a two minute walk from here.
Maz: Awesome.
Emily: Well I'm going to see what Jake's up to. See you two soon.
Maz: Okay love, bye.

Emily Walked out which left me and Nick. I walked over to the balcony.

Maz: Hey, there's Joe.

I pointed to him just as he walked into the entrance.

Maz: Oh, you missed him.
Nick: He'll be coming up so I don't think I have to see him walking in aswell.

Nick walked towards me, and hugged me around the waist.

Maz: I love it when you do that.
Nick: I know you do.

Just as I was abut to give him a kiss on the cheek we heard a knock on our door. Nick and I didn't want to let get go, but eventually after 5000000 knocks we decided it was best to. I walked over to the door as Nick walked into the kitchen.

Maz:Who is it?
??: It's Joe.
I open the door.
Maz: Hey, come in.
Joe: Thanks.
Maz: You don't seem yourself lately. Have you been going to bed really late?
Joe: Uh, yeah.
Maz: Yeah, coz you're eyes seem to be really red as if you havent slept for a while.
Joe: Yeah, Just noises and a really uncomfortable bed.
Maz: Aw, that sucks. You should maybe try Jake's room. Kev and Sarah are leaving to go to sarah's parents' house so there would be a spare bed.
Joe: Nah, I'll be alright. Best to leave Jake and Emily alone.
Maz: Yeah, I guess so. You want to stay for dinner?
Joe: Yeah, sure.
Maz: Awesome, you want me to tell Nick you're here?
Joe: Nah, it's okay. I better change out of these clothes. I've been sweating heaps.
Maz: Haha, well you better have a shower too.
Joe: Haha yeah.
Maz: And have a nap while you're at it.
Joe: Will do.

I hug Joe just before he leaves.

Maz: We'll see you at dinner.
Joe: Awesome.

Joe walked out.

Nick: Joe?
Maz:Yep. I invited him for dinner. Is that okay?
Nick: Yeah. *he smiled sweetly at me, and my heart just melted then and there*
Maz: Why do you do this to me?
Nick: Do what?
Maz: Make me love you so much.
Nick: Because that's my job.
Maz: Haha, true that.
Nick: Well I shall have a shower now and then we can figure out what we're having for dinner.
Maz: Loverrrrly.

He kissed my forehead and walked off into the bathroom. Gosh I love him.

Chapter 35

Nick's POV


One minute, I'm laughing with Maz on the massive bed, the next im kissing her under the sheets. Sometimes I wish I wasn't a big star. That I could hold relationships without needing the whole world to know. But right now, no one but me and Maz knew what we have.


Maz's POV
I slowly cracked my eyes open, the sun was shining through the window. Nick wasn't laying next to me. I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes. I looked at the wall clock. 10am. Loverrrrly. I got up out of bed and washed my face. I walked into the living room. I could see Nick through the window, sitting on the balcony. I knocked on the window. Nick turned around and smiled. I walked into the dining area and picked up the room service menu. I looked at the breakfast list. Nick walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek and then leaned over and looked at the menu.

Maz: What shall we have?
Nick: I don't mind. How about crepes?
Maz: Perfect. Can you please get me the phone?
Nick: Only if you give me a kiss..

I kiss Nick on the lips for atleast 10 full seconds. I pulled away. He smiled big. I giggled. Nick walked into the the lounge and brought back the phone.

Maz: Thank you.

I dialed room service.
??:Hello, this is Justin from room service, how may I help you?
Maz: Hello Justin, can I please order some breakfast?
Justin: Sure, what would you like?

Maz: 2 eggs benedict, 4 slices of toast with butter and jam and vegemite...
Justin: Vegemite sorry?
Maz: Oh wait don't worry about that.
Justin: Okay, anything else?
Maz: Yes please. 1 *whispering* Nick what do you want to drink?
Nick: Mocha latte.
Maz: Awesome. *Normal talking* 1 mocha latte and an iced coffee please.
Justin: Lovely. It'll be at your door in about a half hour.
Maz: Thanks Justin, Bye.
Justin: Goodbye.
Maz: Well, that was fun.
Nick: What in the world is vegemite?
Maz: Oh, this spread that I had back in Australia.
Nick: What's it taste like?
Maz: It's salty.
Nick: Uh huh. Funny kid you are.
Maz: Yes, yes I am.

My phone started to buzz. I hada txt from Emily and the guys.

Hey Maz,
Me, Sarah and the boys, including Joe have gone to a nearby cafe for breakfast. You and Nick were asleep so we didnt want to wake you two up. See you soon. Iflysfm xx

Lovely. I looked over at Nick, he was looking at the dvd's.

Maz: You wanna watch one?
Nick: Nahh, just looking. What I really want is to eat breakfast with you outside, on the balcony.
Maz: That sounds like fun.

After a while the dorrbell rang and we got out breakfast. It was delish. After eating all the food we sat outside just drinking our coffee's.

Maz: Hey Nick.
Nick: Hey Maz.
Maz: Can we keep it a secret?
Nick: About us?
Maz: Yeah.
Nick: Sure. No problem, I was actually going to ask you the same thing.
Maz: Hooray. Oh wait I'll be right back.
Nick: Maz, where you going?
Maz: To get something.

I just remembered that I bought him a pair of awesome cuff links that he liked for his birthday. I jumped off my seat and ran to my suitcase and brought it out to him.

Nick: What did you get?
Maz: Open it.

He opened the box and looked at the cufflinks. His eyes widened then he looked straight at me.

Nick: Why?
Maz: Coz you liked them, and its your birthday, and I love you.
Nick: But youve done enough for my birthday.

He got up off his seat, unexpectadly sweeped me off my feet and carried me inside.

Maz: OH MY GOD NICK D-D-DONT! AHHHH!
*laughing*
He literally threw me onto the bed.
Nick: Love you too.
Maz: Ahahaha come here.

He leaned onto the bed and came closer and kissed me on the lips.
Maz: That was fun.
Nick: Sure was.

My phone buzzed in my pocket. Emily was on her way up with everyone else. Nick looked at the txt and nodded. We both knew how to act.

Chapter 34

Maz's POV


We walked back in. I went to my walk in wardrobe and took out my pyjamas. Shorts and tank top. Red and purple. My faves. I started to change when I noticed Nick was changing too. Not that I was perving, his walk in wardrobe door was creaked open. That meant that so was mine. As I stood there, not intentionally perving he caught me looking. He smiled, I smiled, we continued changing. I put on my tank top. Literally 2 minutes after I put it on, I took it off. It was way too hot. So I guess I'm sleeping in my shorts and sports bra. Loverrrly. I walked out of my walk-in and wallked back into the bed room. I heard footsteps coming from behind me. It was Nick. I turned around to see him in only his boxers. I could tell I was kinda starring because he laughed. It wasn't coz I didn't like him in his boxer shorts, it was because he looked so hot in them.

Maz: You're sleeping like that?
Nick: I can go change...
Maz: No it's fine, I'm just asking.
Nick: Oh.
Maz: There's only one bed. I can go sleep on the couch.
Nick: I'm 100% sure that during the night, if it was me or you sleeping on that couch, we'd fall off. Just sleep in the bed.
Maz: Fine.

I ran and jumped onto the bed. Nick came running after. I giggled as I slid under sheets. They are so nice and cool. Nick got under aswell. We rested our heads on the fluffy white pillows and pulled the sheets over our heads so we were completely covered.

Maz: This is a really comfy bed.
Nick: I know, right?
Maz: Sorry 'bout starring at you before.
Nick: It's okay. You looked kinda shocked.
Maz: Well, it's not my fault you look so good in boxers.
Nick: Well, sorry for looking so good in boxers.
Maz: Haha, it's fine. You look good in anything you wear.
Nick: Aww thanks. You look good in anything you wear too.
Maz: Thanks. *Smiles* You're amazing. You know that?
Nick: You're beautiful. You know that.

We looked at each other, and leaned in. I could feel his soft lips clash with mine. I felt a rush of electricity go through my body. He put his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. He slid his tongue across my bottom lip. I let him in. Next thing I knew we were full on pashing. He is a really good kisser. I gently placed my hands onto his cheeks and pulled him closer. My whole body came in contact with his. After about a minute I could feel something against my thigh. Oh. God. Is it what I think it is. I didn't worry about that and kept kissing. He stopped kissing my lips and slowly started kissing from my mouth down to my neck, and then my chest. My breathing started becoming un-even. My heart raced. He slowly moved back up to my lips. I took my hands off his cheeks and wrapped them around his back. I could feel his muscles. We were getting hotter.

Nick: (In between kissing) I love you.
Maz: I love you to.

Nick's POV

Chapter 33

Maz's POV



We remained silent for an extra 10 seconds, looked each other straight in the eyes, and kissed, on the balcony, in front of the sunset. Most, romantic, moment I'm having.

We stood there, kissing for atleast a minute. He picked me up and carried me to our massive bedroom and lay me on the bed. He crawled on top of me and continued kissing. We kissed, for a very long time. It was the most amazing thing ever. We stopped kissing. Nick moved off me, and we both lied next to each other. We turned on our sides so we were facing each other. He brushed my fringe off my face and placed his hand on my cheek. I put my arms around him and pulled him closer. I didn't want to let go. I smiled at him, he smiled back.

Nick: This is officially the best birthday I have ever had.
Maz: This is the most amazing night I have ever had.
Nick: Be mine?
Maz: Yes.

He kissed me once more, and then we got up and walked to the balcony, and finished watching the sunset in each others arms. Just as it hit 9pm we heard a knock on our door.

Maz: Can we not tell anyone yet?
Nick: I was just about to ask you the same thing.

We quickly kissed and opened the door.

Maz: Heyyy.
Sarah: Hello. As you can see, we're back.
Maz: Have fun?
Sarah: Sunset plus couples equals romantic. Yes, it was awesome.
Maz: Ahaha. So you guys wanna come in?
Sarah: Nah, we're going to our room to watch a movie.
Maz: Awesome.
Sarah: You guys coming over?
Maz: Nah, we're going to bed early.
Sarah: Awww, okay. Well we'll see you tomorrow morning. Wait, is Joe in his room sleeping already?
Maz: Amazingly enough yes. I've never seen him this tired ever before.
Sarah: I know. It's weird.
Maz: Well, I better let you go watch the movie with the other 3.
Sarah: Yeah, I'll see you later.
Maz: Awesome. *Hugs Sarah* Bye
Sarah: Bye.

I closed the door and turned around. Nick had a "wow-that-was-a-long-chat-at-the-door" expression on his face.

Maz: Hahaha, whaaat?
Nick: You girls talk to much?
Maz: Why, is that a bad thing?
Nick: Yeeees.
Maz: Oooohhh whyy?
Nick: Coz then we're wasting the time we have together.
Maz: Awww I'm sorry.

I walked up to him and gave him a hug. I looked up at him.

Nick: So what do you wanna do?
Maz: Well, it's nine o'clock. And the stars are out.
Nick: Balcony?
Maz: You just read my mind.
Nick: I'll bring drinks.
Maz: I'll get chocolate.

We walked to the kitchen that had a few of those complimentary things and took them with us outside. I watched Nick as he poured our Diet coke into champagne glasses and giggled.

Nick: *English accent* A drink for the lady?
Maz: *English accent* Yes please. Thank you sir. You're such a gentleman.
Nick: My pleasure Miss.

We started laughing. I cut up the chocolate into squares and put them on a plate. We sat together out on the balcony. Nick put his arm around me as we watched the stars, eating chocolate and drinking Coke from champagne glasses. I could not have asked for a better night.

Maz: The sky is gorgeous tonight. The stars look like diamonds in the sky.
Nick: I know. It's amazing. The last time I saw this many stars was the time when you first came, and we were at the restaurant, and yeah...
*silence*
Maz: I'm sorry.
Nick: About what?
Maz: Running away from you that night.
Nick: It's not your fault. I would have probably done the same thing if I was you.
Maz: I guess. But it was a nice night.
Nick: Only because you we're there.
Maz: Awww, you're so cheesy.
Nick: I can stop.
Maz: Don't. I like it.

Till 10 we drank, laughed, ate and gazed at the stars.
I started to yawn.

Nick: You're getting tired. We should go to bed.
Maz: I'll sleep on the couch.
Nick: There is no way you're sleeping there.
Maz: Then wher--
I starred at him. I caught on to why he was looking at me in a weird way.
Maz: No way.
Nick: If you're comfortable, then I am.
Maz: I'm comfortable with that.

Chapter 32

Maz's POV



We got to the hotel. It was amazing. We had people from the hotel come outside and bring our suitcases in. We have the highest floor where all the best rooms are and the best views. Everyone went into their rooms, I went in with Nick. We put our bags down and walked around. There was a massive bedroom. With one king size bed. Oh god. I walked around the room frantically, without trying to make Nick notice me, for another bed. No matter where I looked there was only that one bed. We would have to sleep in the same bed tonight. Weird and awkward much? I decided not to worry about that till the time came. I walked over to the window, we had the most gorgeous view of the beach. I looked at my mobile, it was 5 pm. I walked back to my suitcase and put it in one of the walk in wardrobes. I turned around to see Nick puttin his in the wardrobe opposite to mine. We smiled at each other, both knowing we would have to sleep in the same bed for two nights.

Nick's POV

Maz and I had to share a room...and a bed. One of us could always have slept on the amazingly comfortable red and black sofa but we knew we would roll of the end of it. After putting our suitcases in our wardrobes we walked into the most amazing looking lounge I had ever seen in a hotel. There was a bookshelf filled with dvd's. We scanned over the titles. These people had really good taste in movies.

Maz: We should watch one tonight.
Nick: Yeah, that would be nice.

We walked out of our room to see how the others were going. Joe was really happy with his room. Poor guy was so tired. No idea why. And Kevin and everyone else in that room were settled in well.

Emily: I say we go out for dinner.
Maz: That, is a great idea!
Kevin: Where should we go?
Nick: You guys can pick, I'm not fussed.
Joe: What do you guys feel like eating?
Maz: Either chicken or pasta.
Jake: Yeah same here.
Sarah: There's a nice Italian restaurant about a 10 minute walk from here by the beach.
Joe: How do you know?
Sarah: I lived her for 3 months, until I moved closer to Taylor for business reasons.
Jake: Fair enough.
Maz: Well, we better get going, it's 6pm already.
Emily: Yeah, lets go.

We all hopped into the elevator and walked out of the hotel. We walked across the road, walked for about 5 minutes, got to the beach, walked for another 5 minutes and arrived to the Italian restaurant by the beach.

Maz's POV

After settling in we decided to go to a restaurant by the beach. It was the most gorgeous restaurant I had seen in a long time. We sat outside. It was amazing, we ate great food and heard the crashing of the waves against the seashore which was so relaxing. It got to 8pm. The sun was starting to set. Everyone could easily tell Joe was really tired.

Joe: I think I'll start heading back to the hotel. Anyone coming.
Maz & Nick: I will.

We looked at each other.
Maz: I guess we're going. You guys staying?
Kevin: Yeah, I think we'll watch it set here.
Nick: Well we'll leave you four love birds alone.
*laughs*
Jake: Ahaha ok then, goodnight.
Maz, Joe & Nick: Goodnight.

We raced each other back to the hotel. I obviously came last.

Maz: You guys cheated!!
Joe: No we didn't.
*Ding!*
Elevator: Going up.
Nick: How did we cheat?
Maz: *magical creepy voice* You used the force.
Joe: Nick I think we should tell her now.
Nick:Are you sure?
Joe: Yes. Maz, we are from outer space, sent here to take over the world, or atleast an ice cream stand!
*loud laughing*
*Ding!*
Elevator: You have reached your floor.

We walked out of the elevator and stopped infront of our room doors.

Maz: Joe, you going to sleep now?
Joe: Yeah, I'm really tired.
Maz: Okey doke, goodnight. *Hug's Joe*
Nick: 'Nite bro
Joe: 'Nite

Nick and I walked into our room and sat on the couch. I then got up and walked outside onto our balcony. The sun was setting. It was gorgeous. Nick joined me about 3 seconds after.

Maz: That's the first time I've ever seen the sunset.
Nick: Really? This is the most amazing one I've ever seen.
Maz: *looks Nick in the eyes* And why is that so?
Nick: Because I'm watching it with you.

Chapter 31

Emily's POV

Emily: Wow.
Jake: Glad you like it. Now we better go before Maz starts getting annoyed.
Emily: Yeah, good idea.

We got into his car and made our way to the house.

Nick's POV
It was my birthday. Joe decided it would be fun to take me to a football stadium and play a bit of sport. Joe booked out the whole stadium for an hour. That must have cost him a heap. So for an hour we just played sport.

Joe's POV
I didn't know how long I could keep Nick away from the house for. I felt my phone buzz. I looked at my phone.

[1 New message from Maz]
Hey, Were ready. you can bring him now.

Finally. We thanked everyone for letting us use the stadium and drove home.

Maz's POV
Emily and Jake finally came and we had set up everything. The house looked amazing. The boys parents called him earlier today to say happy birthday. Tonight was going to be great. We closed all the lights and waited all together with balloons and party poppers. We stood there in the darkness waiting to surprise Nick. Suddenly we heard the door creak open.

Nick: Seriously, Joe, what's going on.

The lights flicked on.

Everyone: Surprise!!
Nick: Oh my god.
Everyone: Happy Birthday!
Nick: Wow, guys, thanks so much.

We all went up to him into a big group hug. We all went into the main dining room, where they usually only used for special occasions. We had done it up so nicely. Balloons, streamers, the whole sha-bang. It looked awesome. We sat down and started eating.

Nick: You really didn't have to do all this.
Kevin: We were only going to do something small, but Maz wanted to do something bigger.
Nick: Awww thanks.
Maz: No problem. Is the food alright?
Joe: Are you kidding? It's amazing!
Maz: Awesome.

We sat there eating for about an hour, and when everyone was finished we cleaned up and got ready to go to laser force and go karting.

Maz:Go put something more casual on.
Nick: Why?
Maz: We're taking you some where.
Nick: Where?
Maz: You'll see when we get there.

We walked down the hall into our rooms and quickly changed. Everyone else was ready. As we we're about to walk out of the house, we heard a car beep from outside. We opened the door and saw a massive Hummer Limo waiting for us outside.

Nick: Wow, Maz, a limo?
Maz: Hey, don't look at me, I didn't know anything about this.

We looked at each other in confussion. then we turned around to see Joe with a big smile spread across his face.

Maz: No way! You didn't!
Joe: Oh, yes I did.
Nick: Wow, Joe, you di--
Joe: Hey, Maz did something so I wanted to aswell.
Nick: Well, we better get in then.
Sarah: It's amazing.

We all walked out of the house and into the Hummer. It was the biggest Limo I had ever been in, and the most gorgeous one.

Emily: This, is, gorgeous!
Jake: Yeah. It must have cost a fortune.
Joe: Not really, and plus we have it booked for the whole day.
Kevin: So we can go anywhere with it for today?
Joe: Yep.
Maz: We should do something after the "place" we go to since we have it for the day.
Kevin: Yeah, good idea.
Nick: Seriously guys, where are you taking me?
Sarah: Places.
Nick: That's helpful.
Sarah: I thought it would be. *laughs*

We drove down to laser force. During the trip we had a few drinks from the mini fridge in the limo and some chips and chocolate that they supplied for us. I could have stayed in the limo the whole time and be happy. But it's Nick's day today, so I'm going to focus on him. We got to Laser force and got out of the car.

Nick: Oh my god, I haven't been here in ages!
Kevin: We know, so I booked out the whole place for us for 3 hours.
Nick: You three have done way too much. You didn't have to.
Kevin: It's your birthday, we wanted to make it awesome this year.
Nick: Thankyou so much. Let's go in. The force awaits.
*Everyone Laughs*
Maz: You're such a nerd. *smiles*
Nick: Totally. *smiles back*

We walked in and started with the go-karts. We all raced 3 times. The first time Sarah won, second time, Nick won and the third Joe won. We got out of the karts and put on our vests for laser force. We all ran around in the dark laughing and shooting at each other. After 3 hours of running around and racing we left and jummped back into the Hummer.

Nick: Wow, I'm tired.
Maz: Good, because, Emily, Jake and Sarah booked out 3 rooms for all of us.
Nick: You're kidding me right?
Maz: Nup, we're going to the most amazing 5 star hotel.
Nick: *walks up to Emily, Jake and Sarah* Thanks you so much. *pulls them into a hug*
Emily: No problem. We have 3 rooms. One room fits four people, one fits one person and the other fits two people.
Maz: Well, You, Jake, Sarah and Kevin could share the biggest one. Then I could have the one on its own and Joe and Nick could share a room.
Joe: Is it okay if I have the single room. I want to go to bed ealier, I'm really tired.
Maz: If you want.
Joe: Thanks.

We got to the hotel.

Chapter 30

Maz's POV
Joe found me and picked me up.
We decided I should call Nick.
I dialed his number.
The phone rung a few times.

Nick:Hello?
He sounded frantic.



Maz:Hey, it's me.
Nick: Oh thank god, you're okay.
Maz: Yeah, i'm alright. I'm really sorry for storming out and taking your car.
Nick: No, no don't worry about it. I don't blame you. Wait where are you now?
Maz: Joe's picked me up and he's bringing me and the car home. Oh by the way I kinda scratched your car.
Nick: That doesn't matter to me right now. You do.

I shed a tear.
That was the most amazing thing he's said to me all week.



Maz: Okay. Well we're only about 10 minutes away now. I'll see you soon.
Nick: Awesome. I'll see you later.
Maz: Bye.

I hung up. For the rest of the trip we were silent.
We finally reached home after 10 minutes. I got out of the car and walked to the front door. I opened it and walked in. I saw Nick turn the corner. We stood there. Far apart. Face to face. We stood there, staring at each other silently.

I ran up to Nick and he came closer too. We hugged each other insanely tight. That's when I started crying. How could I have been so stupid to think he would do anything like that to me. I burried my head in his shoulder and sobbed.

Maz: I'm so sorry.
Nick: Hey, hey, shhhhhh. Don't worry. It's not your fault.





~~~2 Weeks Later~~~~~~

Maz's POV

Maz: Oi! Love birds, get off the couch and help me here in the kitchen.

Kevin and Sarah were sitting on the couch, being all smushy lovey dovey. And that wasn't helping get Nick's Birthday dinner ready. They got up off the couch and walked over to me in the kitchen.

Sarah: Sorry, what do you need help with?
Maz: Can you please make the salad?
Sarah: Yeah sure.
Maz: thanks, all the stuff is there by the sink. Oh, and Kevin go get all the balloons and party streamers and stuff that I ordered from the party supplies shop. You know where that is right?
Kevin: Yeah, the one with the giant green caterpillar with the top hat on. That caterpillar is so cute. Wait why does it eve--
Maz:Kevin!
Kevin: Oops sorry. I'm going, I'm going!
Maz: Sorry, I just want to make this special for Nick.
Kevin: I know, don't worry, it'll be fantastic.
Maz: Thanks.

Kevin ran out the dorr and went to get the party supplies. But Kevin did have a point, why did the caterpillar even wear the top hat? Hmmm. Strange, strange caterpillar. I snapped out of my caterpillar trance and went back to work. Nick's dinner party had to be amazing. After dinner we're going to take him to some Laser wars and go karting thing, which we all love. Jesus, where is Emily?? Wait wasn't she bringing Jake?

Emily's POV

I had to get the Jonas house to help Maz and everyone with Nick's Party. Jake was taking forever to get ready.

Emily: Jake, Hurry up!
Jake: I'm hurrying.

Just as I was about to nag him again he came out of his room. He looked reeeeaally good.

Emily: Wow.

Chapter 29

Maz's POV

I was going to call Joe.
I slowly dial his number. I press the green phone button. I put the phone to my ear and try focussing on what I'm going to say.

Joe:Hello?
Maz: Hey.
Joe: Are you crying?
Maz: Just a little. I'll explain later. Can you pick me up?
Joe: From where?
Maz: It's about an hours drive from your place. Uhhh, there's like a tulip farm.
Joe: I know where that is. I'll come and get you.
Maz: Take the bus or something.
Joe: Wait, how did you get there in the first place?
Maz: I'll explain everything later.
Joe: Okay, I'll see you soon.

I hung up. I took a look at the car. There were a couple of scratches on the bumper. Nick will get over it. A couple of weeks. To do what? Get to know me. Well he'll get to know a complete different side of me.


Joe's POV
I got in my car and dropped everything at home. I couldn't see Nick anywhere. i ran to the bus stop and waited for the bus to where Maz was waiting. Why was she crying? The bus arrived after 10 minutes and drove an hour and stopped. I walked off the bus and saw Maz and Nick's car near the tulip farm. I ran up to her. She was sitting next to the car.

Joe: Hey, are you ok?
Maz: No.
Joe: Where's Nick?
Maz: I don't know. Why?
Joe: Coz you kinda have his car.
*Silence*
Joe: Wait, don't tell me you actually drove his car?!
Maz: Yeahhh, I did.
Joe: Maz.
Maz: Joe. I'm sorry, it was out of anger.

I walk over closer and sit next to her.

Joe: Why what happend?
Maz: Well, they guys had dropped me off at home after lunch.
Joe: Yes, and...
Maz: I was going to ask Nick something. And I went to his room and knocked on the door *uneven speaking* a-and he wa-a-s lying on his bed with..
Joe: *Hugs Maz* With who?
Maz: With Miley.

She sheds a few tears then stops. She got up.

Maz: But I'm not going to worry. I'm too strong to be hurt.
Joe: Her. Again. Can't she just get over it?
Maz: Huh?
Joe: Don't worry. He probably didn't mean it. She probably got on him before he could do anything.
Maz: Yeah, I guess. I feel so bad now.
Joe: He'll understand.
Maz: I scratched his car. Badly.
Joe: We make heaps of money. I'm pretty sure we can get it fixed.
Maz: Yeah I guess.

We got up and got into the car. I drove.

Maz: Thankyou so much. I hope I didn't cause too much trouble.
Joe: Nah, you didn't. you might wanna call Nick. He's probably looking for you.
Maz: Yeah. Good idea.
She calls Nick.

Chapter 28

Narrator's POV

Maz had gone Go karting with the guys on the Monday. She stayed there for another week figuring out what she was going to do about the rest of the trip around the world. She decided to stay in America for an extra 4 months. Emily had apologized for accidentally ditching the girls and made up for it by taking them out to dinner (without Jake) and announcing that Jake and herself were now official. Jake also said sorry for making Emily ditch the girls by taking them all out (including the Jonas') for a paintballing session which they all came out looking like a packet of skittles. Everyone had grown closer. Especially Kevin and Sarah, who on their first date, came back drenched. Why? No one knows but them.

Maz's POV

Maz: Thanks for the dinner guys. I'll see you later.

I waved goodbye to Emily, Sarah, Kevin and Jake who were all going out on a double date. They had taken me out to dinner just to make sure I was ok with them leaving me. Joe was at some place doing autograph signing and Nick stayed home because he wasn't feeling to well. As I walked to the front door I noticed a random car parked outside the house. Strange. I opened the door (with the keys the guys cut for me) and announced, "I'm Back!" No reply. It was awfully quiet. I walked into the kitchen and got myself a can of Fanta. I walked into my room and dumped my stuff on the floor. I sat there, and heard some weird ruffling noises. I looked outside but there was no wind to make the trees move or any bird making sound. I walked out of my room into the middle of the hallway. I walked over to Nick's room, quickly knocked and walked in.

Maz: Hey Nick, can...NICK?!
Nick: Maz!

I ran out of his room and grabbed my keys and his keys to his car and my bag with all my stuff in it. I ran outside to his car and drove off in it. I had never driven before. Well I did. I only had my learners. So I knew the basic stuff. I drove off. Down the street as far away from him and the house as possible.

Nick's POV

Maz: Hey Nick, can...NICK?!
Nick: Maz!

She ran out. I heard her grabbing keys and running out of the house. Then I heard a car driving off. Shit. She had taken my car.

Nick: Miley! Get off me!
Miley: What?
Nick: Write a song for your album. Is that all you really wanted to do?
Miley: Who was she anyway?
Nick: A close friend of mine.
Miley: Who has keys to your house?
Nick: Yes.
Miley: Right. And why did she storm out of the house?
Nick: Because she's not like you! Seriously, get out and leave me alone.
Miley: Fine, fine. Geez I'm leaving.

Miley left. Song writing pfft. I knew I should have never trusted her. Where is Maz? Can she even drive? I call a cab and drive around the neighbourhood to find her. I can't find her anywhere.

Maz's POV

Just keep driving. Keep driving. Don't worry about Nick. Everything suddenly went black.

~Flashback~
Nick:No, it's my fault. I was the one that said we should be just friends.
Maz:*Hugs Nick* I know I've only been here for about a week and a half but I seriously feel so connected to you in an unbelievably magical way. I just hoped you felt the same.
Nick:And I do. I really do.
Maz:I know.

I qiuckly woke up from the flashback.

Maz: SHIT!

I swevered off the footpath that I was drving on and avoided the light pole that I almost hit. I stopped, in the middle of no where. I got out of the car and looked around. It was the exact same place where Nick and I had our 2nd kiss a couple of weeks ago. Perfect place to be huh Maz? *note the sarcasm*

I sat in the car opened the sunroof and didn't do anything. What can I do right now? Turn back and risk having my life put on the line? No. I was going to call Joe.

Chapter 27

Maz’s POV

My phone was buzzing. Someone was calling. I took my phone out of my pocket and picked up.

Maz: Hello
????: Hi
Maz: Who is this
????: Sorry, I’m Janice from the airline you’re flying with.
Maz: Ok. May I ask why you’re calling?
Janice: Well we have found out that the plane you are flying with in a couple of months has been found to have technical problems which may take a very long time to fix.
Maz: That’s not good. So are my flights cancelled?
Janice: We are sorry to say that they are, but we are refunding all your money back to your account and if you would like us to, we can organise a flight back home or to the other places you’re going to at a time of your choice.
Maz: Oh ok. God, that’s terrible. Can I please have your number and when I feel I can call youback to organise my flights?
Janice: Sure. My number is, 9876 4532.
Maz: Awesome. Thank you. Can I call at any time?
Janice: Whenever you need to book. So yes, any time.
Maz: Thanks for the help. Bye.
Janice: Bye.
Nick: Who was that?
Maz: Some lady from the airline I’m flying with. The aeroplane I’ve been booked to fly on has stuffed up and she said it’ll take ages for them to fix it.
Nick: So they refunded all the money and you’re stuck here till when ever you want to leave?
Maz: Yep. And now it’s going to take me forever to ring up all the hotels I’ve booked and tell them I can’t go.
Nick: That sucks. If you need anything, Joe, Kevin and I are always here for you.
Maz: Thanks. *Smiles and hugs Nick*
Nick: No problem.
Maz: Well I’m going to start calling up all my hotels. I’ll talk to you later.
Nick: Ok.

I walk out of his room. Frustrated as hell. Stupid aeroplane. I sit down and start calling my hotels one by one. I’ve probably got a shit load of money in my account now. I call mum who’s back in Australia. I tell her what happens. I ask her if I can stay in America for a couple months longer. She says yes. Hooray! More time with the guys.

After finally settling everything I walk back into the lounge. The guys are watching a movie. We’ve watched way too many movies. I sit next to Joe. They’re quiet. Why? No idea. Oh wait, it’s their favourite scene. After the scene is finished they finally realise I’m there. It was 8pm.

We are so bored. I go to the kitchen and got out a tub of cookies and cream ice cream. I sit there on the couch eating from the tub with a spoon. The guys looked at me and did the same, except with different flavours. Who would have thought that major music stars sit on the couch at home eating a tub of ice cream. Wait a minute. Something just clicked. The guys’ parents hadn’t called yet. Wait, no, they did, 2 nights ago. The guys found out that their granpa was fine. Just a minor heart attack that was all cleared up now. Their parents decided to go on a vacation to the Bahamas. They thought we were old enough to take care for ourselves. And the guys have a heap of money so it doesn’t phase them. This is all ok by me.

Maz: What are we going to do tomorrow?
Joe: Go Karting.
Maz: Really?
Joe: Yeah, it’ll be fun.
Nick: Yeah, sounds like fun.
Kevin: We’ve got this private one, which is really awesome and where no fans can attack us or anything.
Maz: That’s awesome. I can’t wait.

Chapter 26

Jake's POV

As I turned my head to tell her something, I saw someone staring at us through the window. There was a guy with a camera just about to take a sho of me and Emily. I quickly closed the blinds before he could do anything. I managed to just in time.

Jake: Bad news. A pap was just outside staring at us, about to take a photo. It would be a good idea if you left the hotel.

She walked over and looked out the window. The guy was actually taking a photo of the garden behind him. He was probably looking at the statue that was next to Emily's window. Smart Jake. Real smart.

We then noticed 2 kids running up to him and hugging him. They were probably a family on vacation. Wait, yeah, they were.

Emily: Yeah, maybe not.
Jake: Ahaha, I noticed.
Emily: I think i'll call the girls tomorrow and tell them I'm sorry for forgetting.
Jake: Don't worry, I'm sure they won't mind too much.
Emily: I hope not.

Maz's POV

Sarah and I had reached the cafe. We ordered some cakes and and drink each and talked about everything that had gone on in the past couple or so years. She had recorded and helped Taylor Swift write songs, which sounded pretty amazing. I told her how I got into an agency and done 2 stage shows which paid heaps, which helped pay for the trip. I needed time to relax and explore other places. Australia had just gotten too boring for me. We laughed, we talked, we sung randomly and ate and drunk. What felt like 10 minutes was actually 3 hours. Time really does fly when you're having fun. We decided it as time to go home. Sarah and I split the bill and drove back to the Jonas house where I was living.

Sarah: I'll see you some other time. I can't all this week coming up.
Maz: that sucks. What are you doing?
Sarah: I'm writing and recording more songs with Taylor.
Maz: You guys sound like you're pretty close. Anyways, don't forget to call Kevin. Wait, don't you want to come inside for a bit?
Sarah: Can't. Got Work to go to.
Maz: Oh joy. Well I miss you already. Love you.
Sarah: Love you too.

I got out of the car and walked to the door. She beeped, I waved and she drove off. I took a quick look at my watch. It was 5pm already. I knocked on the door. Joe came and opened it.

Maz:Hello.
Joe: Hey, have fun?
Maz: Yeah, it was awesome.
Joe:That's good.

I walked in. It was quiet. Where is everyone?

Maz:Where's Kevin and Nick?
Joe: They're getting some food from the store.
Maz:Ahhk.
Joe: By the way, Nick told us what happend last night.
Maz: Oh.

I think I had a blank look on my face coz joe looked concerned.

Joe:I hope you don't mind.
Maz: Nah, It's fine, I'm just thinking.

Suddenly the dorr opened and Kevin and Nick walked through the door. With nothing in their hands.

Joe: Where's the food?
Nick: All the shops were closed.
Joe: that's helpful.
Nick: Hey, Maz, you're back.
Maz: Thankyou for noticing.
*laughs*
Maz: Do you guys want me to cook?
Kevin: Yes please. If it's no trouble.
Maz:Nahh. hat do you guys want?
Kevin: Sandwiches.
Maz: Awesome.

After 10 minutes I had made them all a sandwich each. We ate them. Obviously. After a while of silence Nick asked me to come to his room. I walked over and knocked on his door.

Maz:It's me.
Nick:Awesome come in.
Maz: What's up?
Nick: I just wanted to talk to you about last night.
Maz: Did I do something wrong?
Nick: No. It's just, I don't want to get into a relationship yet. I want to get to know you better. Wait atleast a month before we make the decision.
Maz: Exactly the same thing I was thinking. *smiles8
Nick:Really? That's awesome.
Maz: Yeah.

My phone started buzzing. Someone was calling.

Chapter 25

Maz's POV

We sat on the couch in the lounge after grabbing some chips and started eating the chips as if nothing was happening. After atleadt 10 minutes Sarah and i were whisper arguing if we leave Emily and her lover boy or stay and wait for her to finish. After a while we decided to leave her a note saying "Dear Emily, sorry we came at the wrong time. Please remember that your friends were here waiting for you as you were pashing Jake. You go girl. And don't get preggers or anything. Just not today. We dont need two shockers in the on day. See ya. We love you. Maz and Sez xx" Well sorta like that without the preggers bit. We left her and Jake to continue pashing or whatever it was they were doing and left to a gorgeous cafe that Sarah usually went to with Taylor. We walked out of the hotel and into the car and drove off to the cafe.

Emily's POV

Jake had come over atleast and hour ago. I had met him a few times before, secretly without Maz or anyone knowing. That's how we wanted it to be just so we didn't have paparazzi following us around everywhere if anyone had found out. But right now, after coming up to my room asking me to come to a premier with him, we found ourselves pashing on my bed. Best moment ever. After ten minutes we were kissing, much passionately than before. He had pulled me in closer. He slowly un-buttoned his shirt and took it off. My heart went racing. He started un-doing my shirt and took it off me. We continued kissing. He slowly took off his shorts in between our kissing and threw them to the side. He looked so hot. He slowly took of my denim shorts aswell. He lay me back on my bed and crawled on top of me and continued kissing. My arms wrapped around his neck and I pulled him closer. He reached around my beck and started un-doing my bra strap. I suddenly shot up and pulled out. I knew I wasn't ready for any of this. I liked him and all but we were'nt even in a proper relationship and I wasn't ready.

Jake:I'm so sorry.
Emily: It's ok. It's just we're not even in a relationship and I'm not ready for this either.
Jake: I'm sorry, i guess it was just spur of the moment.
Emily: Don't worry.

We get off the bed and Jake walks over and gives me a hug. I hug him back.

Jake:*says softly* Please be mine?
Emily: *Looks up* Forever and Always.

We kissed each other on the lips and put our clothes back on. We walked out of my room and sat on the couch and watched a movie. As weird as it was I loved being with him.

Jake's POV

After a while of kissing with an amazing girl. Emily, to be exact. We were sitting on her couch watching a movie. I felt so stupid and bad for startling her by almost un-doing her bra strap. Never in my life will I do anything so stupid again. I like her too mnuch to let her go right now, and especially that I've made it official with her I don't wanna stuff up. I think I'll take her out. Paintballing. If she wants she can even bring Maz and Sarah. I think she'll like that.

Jake: Hey, I've got an idea.
Emily: Go ahead.
Jake: I was thinking, to make up for what I did, you, me, Maz, Sarah, and the Jonas' go out paintballing.
Emily: Jake, you don't have to make up for anything. But I think that would be pretty cool. SHIT! OH MY GOD.
Jake: What's wrong?
Emily: I was meant to go out for coffee with Maz and Sarah about and hour ago.

She looked really annoyed. She walked around the room. Reflex action I guess, for annoyance. She quickly turned her head and found a note. Most likely left by the girls. She opened it and read it. She seemed really angry at herself. I walked over to her and hugged her. As I turned my head to tell her something, I saw someone staring at us throuh the window...

Chapter 24

Nick's POV

I guess I should tell the guys what happend last night.

I walk into the lounge room where Joe and Kevin are sitting. I jump on the couch and sit with the guys.


Joe: Hey, what’s up?
Nick: I just wanted to talk to you guys about last night
Joe: About how you left unexpectedly and Maz followed you?
Nick: Yeah.
Kevin: Oh yeah, you said you were going to explain what happened.
Joe: Oooooh, why what happened?
Nick: Well, uh, I’ll just tell you from the start.
Kevin: Everything’s ok right?
Nick: Yeah, everything is fine.
Kevin: Oh, ok that’s good.
Nick: Yeah, anyway, well, yeah, you guys know how I left yesterday?
Kevin: Yeah and Maz followed right?
Nick: Yeah, and well we went for a drive and we didn’t speak after an hour, and she asked me if I was ok, and I yes yeah I’m fine, and then I stoped on the side of the road and explained to her how I was annoyed she was going to go out with Joe and stuff and she kissed me.
Joe: She kissed you?!
Nick: Yeah, and I kissed her back, and we opened the sun roof and looked at the stars and she kissed me again and then we came home. And we both realised how much we actually liked each other.
Kevin: HAH! We knew you like her!
Nick: Yeah, I do. But I don’t know, now if I ask her out or just wait?
Joe: Do whatever you feel is right.
Nick: I just think it’s a little early. She’s been here two weeks, and if I ask her out the whole world will find out.
Kevin: Well, just explain that to her, I’m sure she’ll understand.
Nick: Yeah, good idea. I’ll just let a couple more weeks pass, I just want to get to know her better just to be exactly sure.
Joe: That sounds good.
Kevin: She might feel the same way.
Nick: Yeah, I hope.
Joe: You guys kissed, you guys kissed!
Nick: Joe, Shut-up.

I walked out of the lounge and into my room. I changed and walked back into the lounge. The guys had left as well. I turned on the TV and watched a movie.


Sarah's POV

Maz and I are on our way to Em's hotel. We've got our Jonas songs playing and belting out their songs. It's been ages since we've done this. She like my little sister. But in a more mature way now. I've missed being with her and Em on the weekends back in Autralia, trying to find some decent whipped cream that wasn't out of date. Good times. Oh my god. I just remebered. I have Kevin's phone number. A big smile just spread across my face. Maz looked at me and knew something was up.

Maz: What happend?
Sarah: Oh, nothing.
Maz: I've known you for years. I know when something is happening. Especially something good when you're smiling like that.
Sarah: Smiling like what?
Maz: You know. That big smile.
Sarah: Riiiight.
Maz: So what's going on?
Sarah: Kevin. Gave me his phone number.
Maz: *squeals* OH MY GOD. THAT'S ADORABLE.
Sarah: I was afraid you were going to be like that.
Maz: Ahaha sorry. but seriously, awwww. you should totally call him when you get home, and organise something.
Sarah: Yeah, I was going to do that later.
Maz: Aww, you guys would be so cute together.
Sarah: thanks *smiles*

We continue driving and finally reach Emily's hotel.

Maz's POV
We got to Emily's hotel after a while of belting out Jonas songs and talking about a possible date between Kevin and Sarah. We asked for her door number and went up the elevator to floor 8 to find it. Room 21E. We walked down the hall and found it. We knocked and walked in.

Maz: Eeemmmy?

We couldn't see her anywhere. We walked to her room and heard something. We slowly walked over and creaked open the door.
And there was Emily, pashing, Jake.T.Austin, on her bed.
Sarah and Me looked at each other. We slowly crept away, and into the kitchen. We sat on the couch in the lounge after grabbing some chips and started eating the chips as if nothing was happening.

Chapter 23

Maz's POV

We lay back on the seats. Nick opens the sun roof. And here we are, lying next to each other holding hands gazing at the stars. I looked at my watch. 11:20. We should be heading home soon considering it took us an hour to get here. But just a couple more minutes.

*2 minutes later*

Maz:Hey, we should get going. It's getting reeeeeaally late and it'll take us an hour to get home.
Nick: Yeah, we should.

We pulled our seats back up and put our seatbelts on. Nick did a U turn and drove us back home. We got out of the car and walked up the steps.

Maz:I got no keys.
Nick: Woah, are you ok?

I noticed when I get overly tired I start falling and dropping asleep. Yes, I'm very weird. I know. Nick scooped me up in his arms and carried me into my bedroom and lay me on my bed. I smiled dreamily and imediately fell asleep.

Nick's POV

I just got home from what was the greatest night ever.
Iwalked out of her room after carrying her to her bed. Suddenly Kevin popped out of his room which was a bit further down the hallway. He had noticed me coming out of Maz's room.

*Whispering*
Kevin: Hey, Where'd you guys go for so long?
Nick: I'll tell you tomorrow while she's out with Em and Sarah. It'll be easier.
Kevin: Awesome. Goodnight.
Nick: Night.

I walked over to Joe's room as Kevin walked back into his. Joe was almost about to fall off his bed. I walked in and pushed him. He turned in and looked as if he were about to attack something. I walked out of his room and into mine. I fell back onto my bed and fell asleep.


Maz's POV

I crack open my eyes. The sun is shining directly onto my bed. I slowly get up and look at the time. 9:00am. I'm going to see Sarah today. Just remembered that. I better get ready. I'm seeing her soon. I put on some shorts and a T-shirt and a pair of my fave sandals. I creep out of my room and check on Nick. Awww he looks adorable.

I walk down the hallway into the kitchen, and make some breakfast.


*Two and a half hours later*

They boys had finally decided to wake up about a half hour ago. they must have been really tired. I made them a quick breakfast. The doorbell rang.

Maz:Kevin, can you get that for me?
Kevin:Sure.

Kevin's POV

The doorbell rang just as I was just about to have my last bite of my cheerios.

Maz: Kavin, can you get that for me?
Kevin: Sure.

I walked to the door and opened it.

Kevin:Uh, ah, uh, hiii.
Sarah: Uh, hello. How are you?
Kevin: I'm, uh really, good. You?

Wow, she looks even prettier since the last time I saw her.

Sarah:I'm good thanks. Is Maz here?
Kevin: Uh, yeah, she's in here. Come in.
Sarah:Thanks.
Kevin:MAAAZ, SARAH"S HERE!
Maz:COMING!
Sarah: I guess she's coming *giggles*
Kevin:*giggles manly* Yeah. Uh, just wondering you want to go, out for a coffee together sometime?
Sarah:*lightly blushes* Yeah, that would be awesome.
Kevin:Well, here's my number, and when ever you want just call me and we'll organise something.
Sarah:Can't wait.
Maz:Oh, hey guys. You ready to go sarah?
Sarah: Yeah, let's go.
Maz:*hugs Kevin* Alright we'll be back around 3-ish.
Kevin:Awesome, have fun.
Maz:BYE JOE BYE NICK.
Joe & Nick: BYYEE.
Kevin: Bye.
Sarah:Bye.

They walked out the door and went on their way to pick up Emily. She seems nice. Can't wait 'till she calls.

Nick's POV

I guess I should tell the guys what happend last night.

Chapter 22

Maz's POV

I walked out of my room and smiled faintly at Nick, he just looked down and walked into his room. He obviously heard the guys talking about it. It hurts so much to see him like this. But he said it was nothing. He said we were just friends. He can't be mad at me. But I'm mad at myself. I said yes to Joe. I don't feel that way for Joe. He's a great guy and all but I don't know. I just don't see him in that way. But I'll see. I might feel something later on. I continue walking down the hallway and lie on the couch.

Nick's POV
I sit on my bed. Thinking. Fricken hell, I should have never said we were just friends. And since when does Joe like Maz? He hardly showed it. But if Maz actually did like me, she would have said no thanks. Wow, she actually does flirt with me a lot. Some friend she is.

Narrators POV
It was 7pm. The time went by pretty quickly. Maz had fixed dinner for the boys and herself. They sat and ate and at 8:30pm they all sat down on the couch and watched some TV. Nick was upset that Joe and Maz were going to go out on a date together. And Maz was unsure if she should stay with or leave Joe. Joe was happy to be going out on the date, and Kevin, well, his mind wasn't on the situation. his mind was on that girl, Sarah, who he met briefly at Wal-Mart.

Maz's POV
I started getting bored. Watching Phineas and Ferb isn't the greatest thing for teenagers over the age of 15 to watch.

Maz:Hey, I'm going to get some ice cream from the milk bar down the road.You guys want any?
Kevin: Yeah sure. Just get me a chocolate one.
Joe: Can you get me a Rocky road?
Nick: Uhh, anything for me.
Kevin:Just drive Maz down so she won't have to walk to long in this heat. By the time she gets here with them they would have melted in this weather.
Nick:Uh, ok.

Kevin throws Nick his keys. Joe picks up the remote and starts flipping through the channels.
Nick and I left the guys and walked out into the car. We sat and buckled ourselves in and drove of down the road. We were silent. Both knowing what was going on. I wanted to say something but my mind wouldn't let me. Then he broke the silence.

Nick: So, Uh, I hear you're going out on a date with Joe this S.unday.
Maz:Uh yeah. Nothing exciting, just the movies.
Nick:Oh, thats nice.

That's the only conversation we had. We got to the milk bar and walked in. I got all the ice creams, paid for them and walked back to the car. Nick was just sitting there waiting for me. I couldn't do this to him. But why does he look so upset if he said we were just friends? I think I'll just call of the date with Joe. That's what i have to do. I sat back in the car.

Maz: Hey, we can go now.
Nick: Oh, awesome.

We drove back home. I opened the door and tossed the guys their ice creams.

Maz:Hey Joe, can I talk to you for a moment?
Joe: Yeah sure.

We walked off into the kitchen and sat down.

Maz:Uh, Joe. I just uh wanted to ask, can we call off the date? It's not that I don't like you or anything, your an amazing guy, it's just I don't see you in that way. And I'm so sorry.
Joe:Hey, it's fine. I feel the same way. I was just seeing if we would work out. Don't worry about it.
Maz:Really? I just hope you know, you don't feel bad.
Joe:Nah, it's fine.
Maz:*stands up and gives Joe a hug* Thanks for understanding.
Joe: It's ok. *smiles*

We walk back into the lounge. I noticed that Nick was missing.

Maz:Kevin, where's Nick?
Kevin: He said he was going for a drive. He just walked out.

I bolted out the door and jumped into his car just in time. I think I scared him a little. He just went with it and drove off. We didn't talk for a while. After about an hour of driving I broke the silence.

Maz:Are you ok?
Nick:I'm just fine.
Maz: Ok.
Nick: Actually I'm not ok. *stops the car on the side* You're going out on a date with Joe, I told you we're just friends, when I actually really like you, and you were just flirting with me the whole time and....

I just grabbed him, pulled him closer and kissed him passionately. We unclicked our seat belts and moved closer. He wrapped his arms round my waist.
His car had this really cool feature how you can put the front seats down to sorta make a bed. I clicked the button and the seats flung backwards. It was easier to get closer to each other. We pulled each other even closer and just sat there kissing. It was the most amazing moment of my life. No doubt about that. after about 5 minutes we pulled out and looked at each other.

Nick:Wow.
Maz:Yeah.
Nick:what about Joe?
Maz:I called it off. We didn't feel the way we should have if we were going to go out on a date.
Nick:Oh, ok.
Maz:I'm so sorry for amking you feel like this.
Nick:No, it's my fault. I was the one that said we should be just friends.
Maz:*Hugs Nick* I know I've only been here for about a week and a half but I seriously feel so connected to you in an unbelievably magical way. I just hoped you felt the same.
Nick:And I do. I really do.
Maz:I know.

I kissed him on the lips again. This was by far the best night ever.

Chapter 21

Maz's POV

I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs (I just dicovered that there's a downstairs.) to the music room. Joe was sitting at the piano just playing a random tune. Iwalked in slowly and sat next to him on the piano stool.

Maz: Hey, what's up?
Joe: Hey, Nothing really. I just had a shower before and waited here for you.
Maz: Oh, ok. so what was it that you wanted to tell me?

Joe's POV

I'm sitting here next to Maz. She's so pretty. Should I or should I not? Ok, I'm just going to say it out straight away.

Joe:Ummmm, I was wondering, would you like to, uh, go on a date with me...
Maz: Oh, uh, yeah sure, that would be awesome.
Joe: Awesome. Uh, 7pm sunday, we'll go see any movie you want.
Maz:Sounds fun. *smiles* I'm kinda thirsty. You want me to get you a drink?
Joe: Yeah sure. Anything will do.
Maz: Ok, I'll be back soon.



She accepted. That just made my day.

Maz's POV

Oh my god. Joe asked me out on a date! Why did I say yes? WHY?!? I'm falling for Nick not Joe. I seriously need to think before I speak. But Joe is kinda cute. I never knew he thought of me in that way. He didn't show it much. I can't go back and say, "Oh, hey Joe, I'm going to reject your offer because I love your brother instead. " I guess i'll just have to go on the date and see what happens. One date won't hurt. I hope.

Kevin's POV
I heard Maz walking upstairs. She walked straight into the kitchen looking confussed. I got up off the couch and walked over to her.

Kevin:Hey, are you okay?
Maz: Yeah i'm fine.
Kevin: Oh, okay. What did Joe talk to you about?
Maz: Uhh, ask him. I kinda need to uh, do something.

She ran off, back downstairs and back up and straight into her room and shut the door. Something was definately up. I walked downstairs to the music room where Joe was. He was sitting at the piano drinking a can of Dr.Pepper.

Kevin: Hey, Are you okay?
Joe:Yeah why?
Kevin: Well Maz just out of here after talking to you looking really confussed and running into her room.
Joe: She must be excited or something.
Kevin: And why would that be?
Joe: I, uh, asked her out on a date.
Kevin:You did what?!?
Joe:What? Is that bad?
Kevin: Uh no. But haven't you seen the way Nick and her act around each other?
Joe: Yeah, so? If she didn't want to go to the date with me she would have said no.
Kevin: Yeah, I guess.

Nick's POV

I was just about to walkdownstairs to the music room to try out a tune I wrote when I heard my brothers talking. I hid behind the door and listened.

Joe: I, uh, asked her out on a date.
Kevin:You did what?!?
Joe:What? Is that bad?
Kevin: Uh no. But haven't you seen the way Nick and her act around each other?
Joe: Yeah, so? If she didn't want to go to the date with me she would have said no.
Kevin: Yeah, I guess.

Maz is going out on a date with Joe? She liked Joe the whole time? And didn't show anything? Nothing at all? She was just flirting with me the whole time. wow. How could I have been so stupid to think she might like me.

I walked back up stairs and down the hallway. Just as I was walking down, Maz came out of her room. She smiled at me, I just looked away and walked into my room.

Chapter 20

Maz's POV

Everyone:AHHHHHH!

The branch snapped and we all fell on top of each other. It was Joe, then Nick, then Kevin, then me. We all just laid there in silence, then started bursting out in laughter. We all tried getting up but its kinda hard to keep your balance when youre laughing hysterically, so every time we stood up we'd fall back down, which didn't help because it only made us laugh even harder. After a while of laughing we finally gained full non laughing-ness and stood up and got into a big group hug.

Maz:That was fun.
Nick:Totally, we should do that again.
Joe: Yeah but I don't want to be the one at the bottom again.
Kevin: Well Maz was the lucky one, we all broke her fall a bit.
Maz: Thanks guys.

We walked back over to the rug. Well just Joe and Myself. As we sat down we heard a splash. We turned around to find Nick had pushed Kevin into the water. Thats when I got up slowly and crept up behind Nick and pushed him in. I could hear Joe coming behind me so I was prepared. He grabbed me by the arms and I grabbed his. Wow, he's got muscle. Anyway focusing on getting him into the water. It was just me and Joe battling it out, in the end we forced each other in at the same time. Thank god I had bought extra rugs. We swan around a bit splashing each other and laughing. We were lucky the sun was hitting the water or else we would have been freezing. I love these guys so much. They're like my family. Except Nick. I get a different vibe from him. But a good one. After a while I decided to step out. I was absolutely soaked. Dripping with water I walked over to Kevins car, opened the boot, and took out the extra two rugs.

Maz:Guys, I bought a couple more rugs we could use to help dry us up.
Joe: Awesome, we're coming out now.

The boys stepped out of the water. OH MY GOD. They looked so hot. I swear if it was in slow motion it would have been the sexiest thing in the world. MAZ! Snap out of it. I walked over to them and handed Kevin a Rug and Joe one. I packed all the stuff into the boot so Nick could use the last one. I handed the last one to Nick. Nick looked at me. I was shaking and my lips were blue. I walked over to where the sun was. It was warming me up. Nick walked over to me, while Joe and Kevin were finishing off their sandwiches.

Nick:Hey, you look like a snow man.
Maz: So I'm round and white, with a pointy carrot nose? *laughs*
Nick: *laughs* No, coz your blue and shaking.
Maz:I'll be ok.

He came closer and wrapped his arms while still holding the rug around me. My heart started beating faster. I was getting warmer already. My lips went from blue to a light shade of red. I closed my eyes and smiled. Was this a message or was he just being nice? I don't know. I eventually broke off before Joe or Kevin could see us.

I walked back over to the guys and packed everything that was left over into the car. I opened the door and sat and closed my eyes. Joe opened the door and sat next to me.

Joe:Hey, What's up?
Maz: Nothing just relaxing.
Joe: I want to talk to you when we get home.
Maz: Is everything ok?
Joe:Yeah everything is fine.
Maz:Ok.
I looked at my watch it was 3pm already. I got back out of the car and walked over to Kevin.

Maz:We should get going soon.
Kevin: Yeah, good idea. Guys, lets go!
Nick:Alright, I'm on my way.
Maz:Joe's already in the car. He said he wanted to talk to me when we got home.
Kevin:Really?
Maz: Do you know anything about this?
Kevin:No. If I did I would have warned you.
Maz:Ok, I just hope everything is ok.
Kevin: Yeah, same here.

We all got into the car, and drove back home. In the end we didn't spend the whole day out of the house. We got home after a while. We walked in still dripping with water. We all went into our bedrooms which each had their own bathrooms. I could hear the showers going off. I jumped in my one aswell and had one. As i came out I made sure that this time the door was securely locked. I heard a knock on my door.

Joe:Can I come in?
Maz: i'm kinda fully undressed so I'll put some clothes on and meet you in the music room.
Joe: Awesome, meet you there.

Chapter 19 Part 2

Maz's POV

After a lovely sleep and breakfast we decided that we were going to spend the day out of the house, driving. I walked into my room and closed the door. I opened my draws to see what I should wear. I know, black shorts, red t-shirt, and my sandals. Awesome. I took off my clothes and threw them onto the bed. Should I keep my singlet on? Nah, I'll get too hot. I take my singlet off leaving me in my knickers (lol i love that word) and bra. I took a quick peek in the mirror. I had finally grown taller since year 9. YAY! I was just about to pick up my shirt to put it on when I heard a loud BANG. I quickly turned around to find my door had flung open thanks to the open window. And yes the curtains are closed so no-one outside can see me changing. Oh, My, God. I think I've just died.

Nick's POV

As I was putting my last shoe on I hear d a loud BANG. I turned around and saw that Maz's door had flung open. I could see Maz. She was only wearing he underwear and bra. I looked at her for a good 10 seconds then quickly looked away. Shit, I think I've just embarassed her. She ran up to her door and shut it. She didn't look too bad actually. She actually looked better like than. Nick, Stop, you shouldn't be thinking of her like that. SNAP OUT OF IT.

Maz's POV

Holy Shit. I think Nick saw me. What do I mean I think. He DID. Ok Maz just breathe. It's ok. It's ok. Just finish getting ready. I put on my clothes and calmly walked out my room. And practically bolted into the kitchen to avoid Nick. Joe and Kevin we're now in their rooms getting ready. I saw Nick coming down the hallway. There's no escape. I get out all the things to make food for the trip. Nick came into the kitchen and we prepared everything. In silence. I looked at the clock. It was 11pm. One hour till we leave. I think I'll go outside. Nahh. I'll just sit on the couch. I walk into the lounge room and sit down. Nick comes after me and sits.

Maz:Hey.
Nick: Hi.
Maz: About before, uh, I, uh, didnt, mean, for that to happen, and I uh hope it, uh didnt make you feel awkward.
Nick: Ha. No. It's ok. don't worry about it. You don't look too bad.
Maz: Aww thanks. But seriously I'm really sorry.
Nick: Haha, its fine. Our secret.

After a half hour we were all ready and packed everything into Kevns car. I took 3 blankets. Why? No idea. I always take things I don't need with me or in this case, us. We all got into Kevins car and started driving up to some parks. We drove for an hour and a half and stopped at a beautiful park. It was deserted. No one ever came here. We got out of the car, grabbed all the things and walked around to find a nice place to sit. I trailed off from the guys a little and walked through a crying tree, you know the ones with the really long brances that curve over? It was like a curtain to another world. It was more beautiful than the one on the other side. I poked my head through the branches.

Maz:Hey guys, Come through here!
JB: Coming.

The guys walked through. Judging from their expressions they liked the area I found.

Kevin:You guys set up here. I'll bring the car closer.
Joe:Awesome.

We started unfolding one of the blankets and setting out all the food and drinks. The place I found was gorgeous. A sparkling lake, exotic flowers, big trees and gorgeous little birds. I looked at my watch, it was 1:30pm. No wonder the lake is sparkiling so much, its early afternoon and the sun is hitting it directly.

After about a minute Kevin had come closer with the car and we were all sitting down eating our sandwiches.

Kevin:Wow, who made the sandwiches?
Nick: Maz and Me.
Joe: They're awesome. Yo you guys should totally open up a sandwich bar.
Nick: Yeah sure, why not?
Maz:*laughs* I'm glad you like them.

We finshed eating at around 2pm. I got up and ran over to a tree. I climbed up a little and stopped at a strong branch that I could sit on. The guys came running after me and did the same. We all sat and admired the gogeous view of the lake and flowers.

Maz:Wow, what a lovely..
Everyone:AHHHHH!

Chapter 19 Part 1

Nick's POV

I had the sunlight hitting my face. I slowly opened my eyes to find all four of us sleeping on the couch with the Rush Hour theme music going on. I looked down onto my chest to see Maz's head on there. She looks adorable. I could see her big brown eyes slowly opening and looking up at me.

Nick:*Whsipering*Good morning.
Maz:*Jumps off quickly and also whispering* I'm so sorry. And good morning.
Nick:*Laughs quietly* You wanna eat breakfast with me?
Maz: Yeah that would be awesome.

We slowly crept off the couch trying not to nudge or touch my brothers. We tip toed to the kitchen. I got out two bowls, the milk and some cheerios. I put some of each in the bowls and handed one to Maz with a spoon. We sat at the bench and started eating.

Maz:So what are we going to do today?
Nick: Your turn to pick.
Maz: Well Emily's going to spend the day with Sarah. So I was thinking maybe I could just spend the day with you guys.
Nick: Sounds good.
Maz: Yeah.

We continued chewing and swallowing. Fun. I looked at my blackberry, no interviews or gigs scheduled. Awesome. We'll go for a drive. A long one. For the whole day. and come back at night.

Nick:We should go for an all day drive. We'll leave at about 12pm and come back at 10pm. Hows that sound?
Maz:I like it. I'll make us sandwiches and take some drinks in a picnic basket and we can just stop at places and look and just relax. It'll be awesome.
Nick:Yeah. *Smiles*
Maz:What?
Nick:Your always so enthusiastic.
Maz:Thats Maz for ya.
Nick:I think the other 2 have woken up.

I stood up from my chair and looked through the door. Yep, they were up and walking our way. I sat back down and finished my last couple spoonfuls of cheerios. So did Maz.

Maz:Hey, good morning.
Joe & Kevin: Morning.
Maz: Have a good sleep?
Joe:Yeah. I think.
Kevin:I did. I never knew the couch was so comfortable.
Maz:I know. Its fantastic.

The guys made their own cheerios and sat at the table with us.

Joe:Figured out what we're doing today?
Maz:Well, Nick and I thought that maybe we could go for an all day drive and like stop at parks and other places and I could make sandwiches and snacks and put them in a picnic basket and yeah.
Kevin: Sounds awesome.
Nick:Yeah. So you guys in?
Joe & Kevin: Yeah.
Nick: Awesome, we'll leave at 12, so we all have 3 hours to get ready. And we can take your car Kevin coz its big.
Kevin: Cool.
Maz:Uhh ok. I'm going to start getting ready.
Nick:Same here.

Maz and I walked out of the kitchen, down the hallway and into our rooms. She walked into her room and closed the door. I left mine open to get some air in. If I open my window all the bugs will get in and I don't want that to happen again. I open my draws and look for something to wear. Casual. not fancy. We're going to a park. How about, Jeans, T-shirt, Sneakers/Converse. Perfect. I take out a blue t-shirt that I haven't worn in ages. It still looks good on me. I quickly take off my pants and slip on my jeans. I sit down and put on my shoes. Ok, I'm ready.

Chapter 18

Maz's POV

Maz:Hey Nick, can I ask you something?
Nick: Sure, go ahead.
Maz: If I asked you, right now, would you date me?
Nick: Uh, I don't know. I guess we need to give it a bit of time, let the month finish, we've only known each other for two weeks.

My heart started beating faster. I would wait a million years if I had to, to date him. I knew I liked him. Not like a fan, like more than a friend. I guess I'll just have to wait. I can't rush anything. I leaned in and gave him a hug. We pulled out and looked at each other.
Maz:Thanks.
Nick: For what?
Maz: Being a great guy.
Nick: It's ok.
Maz: There's not many guys like you and your brothers out there anymore. There's only a couple I know.
Nick: Really? Well I'll never change. Especially for you, I won't.
Maz:Thankyou.
I gave him another hug and I got up and sat at my window sill with the window open. I could feel the warm summer breeze brush past me. Nick walked over to the keyboard, turned it on, and started playing. I could hear him singing.

Nick: Dear god, I hate to be a bother but I gotta say,
This world is getting crazier with every day,
I hope you hear me out now as I stop and pray,
Dear god people take your words and try to twist them round,
I know you can't be happy with what's going down,
I'm searching for some answers but they can't be found, Can you help me out, Dear god.

He just stopped. I turned and looked at him.

Maz: That was amazing.
Nick: I haven't played that in ages.
Maz: It still sounds good.
Nick: Thanks. So you wanna go watcha movie inside?
Maz: Yeah, sure.

I hopped off the window sill and walked out the door with Nick into the living room. Kevin and Joe were sitting there thumb wrestling. They looked a bit better now. I jumped onto the couch next to them and so did Nick.

Joe:I WIN!
Kevin:Cheater!
Joe: No i'm not!
Maz: Guys, Guys! *laughs* Do you want to watch a movie?
Kevin: Yeah sure. We have our whole collection in that cupboard. *points to a massive cupboard*

I walked over and opened the two doors. HOLY MOLLY! No joke, there were atleast 1000 dvd's.

Maz:Uhhh, so what genre?
Joe:Horror or Comedy? or Hormedy?
Maz: Uhh I don't know, what do you guys want?
Nick:Comedy.
Kevin:Comedy.
Joe: Comedy.
Maz:Comedy it is.

I pulled out a movie, Rush Hour 4. Now thats a good action comedy. I walked over to the dvd player and put it in. We pressed play and started watching the movie. I brought out some popcorn during the openig credits and we all huddled together and watched the movie. Half way through the movie i looked at the clock. It was already 11pm. Time sure does fly when your having fun. In this case our fun was laughing hysterically at Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. After about half an hour I started dozing off. I was sleeping on the comfiest pillow. The only problem was that Joe, who was asleep, had somehow thought my foot was his teddy bear. I didn't mind. But gosh I have to admit I was sleeping on The comfiest pillow. I couldn't be bothered getting up and going into my room. Either did any of the other guys. So we just slept there.

Chapter 17

Maz's POV

We walked into the house, there was a note on the table. Nick picked it up and read it out loud.

Dear Boys and Marianna,
Myself, your father and Frankie have left on an urgent trip to see your grandfather as we have been told is very ill. We have left you some money which will cater you for atleast 2 weeks. Please take care of each other, we'll notify you as soon as we get some news.
Love Mom and Dad.

I looked at the guys. Their eyes started filling with a few tears. I went up to them and pulled them into a group hug.

Maz:Hey, hey, don't worry. It'll be ok.
Nick: I hope.
Joe: We just haven't seen him in a while.
Kevin: Yeah.

We got out of the hug.

Emily: I'm so sorry, I have to go now.
Joe: It's ok. We'll see you later. Bye.

She walked out the door and caught a cab back to her hotel.

Maz: Hey, do you want me to make you guys something to eat?
Kevin: It's ok, you don't have to.
Maz: no seriously, you guys are wrecked. I'll make yu guys something to eat and then we'll sit down and watch some movies or do whatever you guys want to.
Kevin: Sounds like a good idea.
Nick: You know, you really don't have to do all this.
Maz: I know, but I'm your friend, I do things to make people feel the slightest bit better.
Nick: Thanks.
Maz: It's ok.

The guys walked into the dining room and set up and when they finsihed they sat in the living room. I cooked some spaghetti bolognaise and made a quick salad.

Maz: Hey guys, the food is ready!
Joe: Awesome.

We all sat down and ate, talking in between, and drinking. It was peaceful. When we all finished I brought out the muffins I had made earlier. They actually tasted really good. After everything was eaten, we all packed up and went into our rooms for a bit. I sat on my bed, looking through a book. I suddenly heard a knock on my door. It was Nick.

Maz: Hey, come in.
Nick: Thanks. Can I talk to you?
Maz: Yeah sure. Whats happenin'?
Nick: I just wanted to thank you, for everything, the dinner, the dessert.
Maz:Hey, it's fine. Anytime.
Nick: About the time at the restaurant, outside, I'm really sorry.
Maz: It's ok. It didn't mean anything. You know that.
Nick: Wanna know a secret?
Maz: Yeah?
Nick: It kinda did. I felt something. Like a spark.
Maz: I, uhh, did too.

We looked at each other, the same way we did when he first heard me playing. That was my perfect moment. I didn't ever want it to stop. I got up and close my door. And then sat back down.

Maz:Hey Nick.
Nick:Yeah?
Maz:Can I ask you something?

Chapter 16

Maz's POV
As we walked down we saw a magazine with me, Emily and the guys all on the front cover. The caption read "JB's NEW GIRLFRIENDS?!". Me and Em looked at each other and hid all the magazines with other ones, but we took one copy and ran back the other way to where the guys were. They were signing autographs for like 50 people.

Maz: Pssssst! Guys, come here for a sec.
Joe: Wait a sec!
Emily: Guys, please it's important!
Joe: Ok, we're coming.

They broke out of the crowd. That's when we saw Big Rob.

Joe:What's up?
Maz: *Shows them front cover* This.
Joe: Ohhh. Yeah. We forgot to mention that might happen a little bit.
Emily: What? The paparazzi shots?
Nick:Yeah. Don't worry about it. No one is going to attack you.
Maz: Let's just hope that no one does.

Me and Em walked back to where the cd's were. Amazingly enough there were the 3 main JB Cd's. We picked up a couple of them and looked at them. They were different to the ones that we had back in Oz. I put them back and suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around. It was Sarah.

Maz:*high pitched* Heeeeyyyyy!
Sarah: Hiiiiiiii, how are you?
Maz: I'm good you?
Sarah: Yeah I'm good too. Hey Em how are you?
Emily: I'm good. We haven't had a good conversation in ages.
Sarah: I know its been like 2 years. What are you guys up to?
Maz: We're just here with the boys. You?
Sarah: Just shopping for a couple of things.
Maz: Hey, do you want to go out for a coffee?
Sarah: Yeah sure. What time?
Maz: *looks at Em* Uhh how about this Saturday at 2pm?
Emily: Yeah that sounds good.
Sarah: Yeah that would be awesome. Well I have to go now. See ya's on Saturday.
Maz: I'll text you the details tomorrow morning.
Sarah: Awesome. See ya!
Maz and Emily: Bye!
Sarah walked off deeper into the shop. We had missed her so much.

Maz: Ok, I'm suddenly really bored. Lets go get the guys and leave.
Emily: Sounds like a good idea.

We ran down looking for the guys, that was until we heard Burnin' Up playing in the store.

Maz:*Stops* Emily, EM! *grabs Emily's arm*
Emily: What?
Maz: Listen!

We froze, looking like complete idiots, and then started dancing while belting out Burnin' Up.
We got the weirdest looks from people. but we didn't care. Then after a while of dancing we found the guys.

Maz: You ready to go? We're bored.
Joe: Yeah sure. *turn to Kevin and Nick* Hey guys! Let's go!

Chapter 15

Maz's POV

I was just about to walk back into my room when I felt someone grab my hand, and yank me backwards. It was Nick. He pulled me into his room, sat me on his bed and locked the door shut. Ok then. Just a little scared right now.


Maz:Uhhh are you ok?
Nick: Yeah, I'm sorry. I just need to talk to you.
Maz: Abbooooout?
Nick: Stuff.
Maz:Ok. Go ahead.
Nick: Well, uhhh, about today.
Maz:Uhhh yeah?
Nick: Did you like your surprise?
Maz: Who, Emily? Yeah, it was like the best thing, but I've only been here for two days and you guys have done so much for me
Nick: Yeah, we figured you'd like it.
Maz: Is that all you wanted to say?
Nick:Uh, yeah.
Maz: *giggles* I thought you were going to talk about something more serious.
Nick: Ahaha yeah, sorry. I was a bit frantic I guess.
Maz: Well, I'm going to take a nap, wake me when your parents come.
Nick: Sure. I'll wake you later.

I walk out of his room and into mine. I fall back on the comfiest bed in the world and doze off. I had a strong feeling that's not what he wanted to talk about.

Nick's POV
Gosh, I can get so nervous around girls at times. I should've just told her what I really wanted. That I had actually felt sparks. But she'll think I'm to quick. I still think that I'm going too quick. I'll just wait a while to see what happens.

Narrators POV
A week had past. Marianna and Emily spent half of it together catching up on everything that had happend and the other half with the Jonas family but maily with the 3 eldest boys. Kevin had become a brother figure for her, Joe was her now, new close friend, and Nick, well he was definately getting to know her better, and she was getting to know him. Emily met the guy of her dreams Jake.T.Austin and the girls were surprised to find one of their old friends Sarah recording a new song with Taylor Swift for her new album. In just a week so much had happend, yet there was so much time to go.

Maz's POV
Maz:Ok, today can we please go to WalMart?
Joe: Please don't tell me you flew half was around the world here just to go to WalMart?
Emily: C'mon it's only about a five minute drive.
Nick: Hey, well I kinda need to go. I need to buy more food.
Maz: Plleeeeeeeaaaassseee.
Joe: I'll go if Kevin's going as well.
Kevin: I'll take you guys if you want.
Maz: Joe, if you come I'll buy you some OPB and apples.
Joe: Deal. But don't go crazy.
Maz & Emily: *hi-5* Yes!

We all grab our stuff and walk out the door.

Joe: MOOOOOOOOM WE"RE GOING TO WALMARRRRRT!!
Denise: Ok. Get me some pasta.
Joe: Ok. See ya!
Denise: Bye!

We all jump in the car and drive off. Me and Emily sat in the back with Joe listening to her iPod, which came fully equiped with all the JoBro songs. And Nick and Kevin were in the front seats. I quickly turned to Em and whispered into her ear. We nodded at each other and looked at the boys.

Emily: *using cute voice* Sooo, guys, can you do us a favour?
Kevin: Yeah sure.
Maz:*also using cute voice* Could you pretty please with a cherry on top sing us some songs?
Joe: Liiike?
Maz:Liiikke, S.O.S?
Nick: Sure. When we get home.
Emily & Maz: Awwwwwww

Chapter 14

Emmy's POV

Well, mum and dad actually agreed to let me stay in America. Yay! Maz was very very excited to see me. I missed her hugs so much. I remember when we were at school, every morning she would run up to me and give me the first hug. Good times.

Maz: So where are you staying?
Emily: There's an awesome hotel just about a block away.
Maz: That's awesome.
Emily: Yeah I know right.
Maz: Uh, guys, me and Em are just going to go into my room.
Joe: Awesome.

She lead me to her room. Wow. It had everything we could ever want in a bedroom.

Maz: I knew you'd like it.
Emily: Oh My God.
I ran for this electic guitar that looked amazing.

Emily: Maz, you have the best room ever!
Maz: You can have that guitar.
Emily: Are you serious?
Maz: Yeah, the guys are giving a couple away and thats on of them.
Emily: Why?
Maz: I dunno.
Emily: Ok then...
Maz: Watch this.

She pressed some random control button and some cupboard doors opened to a fridge.
My mouth dropped open.
Maz: I know right, I had the same expression.
Emily: Does it have Fanta in there?
Maz: Yeeeeees.

She opened the fridge and chucked me one. I put the guitar down and we sat on her bed.



Maz: Best holiday ever. I can't believe I'm living with our dream guys.
Emily: I know, right. So anything new?
Maz: Well, not really. I've only been here two days but uhh.
Emily: Tell meeeee...
Maz: Promise you won't tell anyone?

I gave her the "I'm-your-best-friend-thats-known-you-for-years-and-wouldnt-tell-anyone-and-i-never-have look. Yes, it's a very long look but hey it's worth it.

Maz: Well, last night me and the family of "Jonai" went out for dinner at their favourite restaurant.
Emily: That erminds me, where's Frankie?
Maz: Some friends house for a project.
Emily: He's so cute. Anyways back to your story.
Maz: Yeah and we ate and everything and I saw this swing outside so I went to it. And Nick came aswell. And Kevin was like, I'll come out later, and all and Yeah and I sat on the swing and Nick pushed me, and then I got off, and being the hugable person that I am.
Emily: Maz, you have Fanta in your hair.
Maz:Ahahhaha. *licks it off*
Emily: Maaaaaaz, eeeewww.
Maz: Meh anyways, let me finish the story. And I asked him for a hug, and he hugged me, and it was like full moon and stars and yeah and i was explaining how i was sorry about something that happened at the park and then, he kissed me.
Emily: Oh my god, thats so cute.
Maz: But this morning he was like oh, it was nothing, just in the moment. I was like, that sucks. Not directly to him but yeah.
Emily: Nawwww, don't worry.
Maz:I'm not, he's a superstar and I'm just average. I understand.
Emily: Yeah I guess. Shit, I have to go, or else they're going to shut my room with the keys in there.
Maz: awwww do you have to?
Emily: Yes, yes I do.
Maz: Well ok. I'll talk to you tonight.

We kiss each other on the cheek, and I leave.

Maz's POV

Chapter 13

Maz's POV

We all sat there, bored as hell, watching some random tv show.

Joe: You guys wanna do something, we have like 2 hours before our parens get back.
Maz: Yes, if we can. PLEASE!


Joe: *laughs* ok, what do you want to do?
Maz: You guys pick.
Kevin: Alright, uhh, you wanna go shopping?
Maz: Yeah sure.
Kevin: Awesome, Nick we're taking your car.
Nick: We always take my car.

Nick groaned and chucked his keys at Kevin. We all got our money and everything and jumped into the car. I find it so weird some random chicks haven't attacked them yet. I guess they're just known around here.

We drove to what these americans call "The Mall" and started walking around and looking through windows and going into shops. After about a half hour each of the guys had bought themselves a pair of shoes. me...nothing. That was until I saw this gorgeous crimson red and gold dress. I instantly fell in love with it.

Maz:I have to try on that dress.
Joe: Go ahead. We'll just have a look around.

I ran into the store and grabbed the dress. I got into one of the change rooms, took of the shorts and top I was wearing and put on the dress. I turned around and looked in the mirror. I loved it. I swear just to make it fair for everone else they didnt put a sign above it saying, MAZ BUY THIS DRESS.

Maz: Hey guys, you out there?
Kevin: Yeah, are you ok?
Maz: I just want you guys to tell me what you think of the dress.
Kevin: Alright, we're waiting.

I opened the door and slowly walked out. Nick looked as if I were the best guitar and record deal ever. His eyes widened. Joe smiled, widely, and Kevin walked towards me and gave me a hug.

Kevin:It looks great on you
Maz: Serious? Yay!
Joe: You should totally buy it. Who knows you might need it.
Nick: Uh, yeah, uh, its, good.
Maz: *giggles* thanks guys.

I change back into my normal clothes and take the dress and pay for it. Ok, so now, I have a really nice dress. Crimson red, with a golden bow around the middle. Perfect for my style.

After a while we saw the time and decided to drive back. We got back, and I looked at the wall clock. Half an hour left. I could hear the guys whispering in the background. Meh anyways, I can call Emily.

Emily:Hello?
Maz: Hey gorgeous. Hooooow, are your holidays?
Emily:Really good. Mum and Dad have already gone back, I'm going back in about a month and a bit.
Maz: They finally let you? That's awesome.
Emily: Yeah, well, I'm not actually in London anymore.
Maz: Oh, where are you?
Emily: Turn around.
Maz: Huh?

I turned around.

Maz: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Emily: Ahahaha. Hey.
Maz: *Talking into phone* Oh My God, You're here!
Emily: You know you can close your phone.
Maz: Oh, yeah, hehe *closes phone*, how did you get here?
Emily: Ther's something called a plane.
Maz: Nuh duh. But-how?
Nick: We saw your youtube videos of your songs.
Emily: And they got my number off your phone, and flew me over here.
Maz: Are you serious? You guys are the best!
I walked to emily and gave her the biggest hug ever. I missed her so much.

Wow, so much has happened in just two days.

Chapter 12

Maz's POV

I woke up to the sound of a siren. Great.
I sit up and look outside my window, and think about last's night's kiss.
It was amazing. I saw the fireworks, I felt the spark that everyone says you see and get when you have that first magical kiss. When you have that moment.

But I just can't believe he did or in other words, we, kissed.
It was amazing.
But on the first day? How is it going to be for the other two months that I'm here? Won't it be awkward?
Eh, stuff that, I just had the perfect first kiss.

I fall back onto my bed. I look at my watch, it's 9 am. Everyone else is still sleeping. That was until I heard footsteps. I shot back up and saw Kevin walking down the hallway.

Maz: *Whisper yelling* Keeevin.
Kevin: *Also whisper yelling* Hey Maz, have a good sleep?
Maz: Yeah. Come into my room.
Kevin: Ok.

Kevin walks into my room. I pat an area next to me for him to sit on my bed. He walked over and sat.

Kevin:So did you enjoy last night?
Maz: Yeah it was great.
Kevin: I just want you to know that I saw what happend last night. You know with Nick, outside.
Maz: Oh my god, you saw that?
Kevin: Don't worry I won't tell anyone. Nick knows that I know.
Maz: Oh good. I just, i don't know, wanted it to happen, but I didn't oh god. Kevin, promise me one thing?
Kevin: Sure.
Maz: I know we hardly know each other, but I seriously feel like your a brother figure to me. Please be the older brother I never had.
*I just hugged him*
Kevin: Uh, sure. Hey look at me. Don't worry, it won't be awkward. But I can see the connection you two have.
Maz: Thankyou. Hey, how bout we go eat some breakfast?
Kevin: Good idea.

We crept out of my room into my kitchen. I opened up the fridge, took out 3 eggs,the milk and bacon. I put them on the bench and walked over to the cupboard and opened it. Then I took out the salt, pepper, cinamon,oil and the maple syrup.

I put some oil into a pan and after a while of cooking, frying, stirring and setting out, I made breakfast for the household. When I finished, I just saw Kevin, standing there, staring at me.

Kevin:Wow. You really like to cook breakfast.
Maz: *laughs* Yeah i hope you guys like French toast topped with maple syrup and 3 rashed of crispy bacon.
Nick: Wow, what's that smell?
Denise & Paul: It smells like bacon.
Joe: Mmmmm, Bacon.
Maz: Breakfast is served.
Denise: Oh goodness, Marianna you made all this?
Maz: Yeah, i guess I just really like making breakfast.
Denise: Oh, but that's our job. You really didn't have to do all this.
Maz: Hey, just a thankyou treat for a great night last night.
Denise: It's a pleasure. Well we might aswell sit down and eat before it gets cold.

We all sat down and had what was the best breakfast I've had since getting off that plane.
After a while of eating, we had finished our food and each gone to our own little areas.

Denise: We're just going out to get a couple of things and to pick up Frankie we'll be back in a few hours.
Paul: Make that 3 hours.
Joe: Ok, see ya soon.

I look at the wall clock. It's 12pm, in 3 hours so I have till 3pm to do whatever. I walk down the hallway to Nick's room. He's sitting there playing his acoustic guitar. Man, I wish I could play like him. I'm just about to turn into his room when I hear my phone buzzing. I pick up.

Maz:Hello?
Emily: Hey, how are you gorgeous?
Maz: Oh my god, hi, i'm great you?
I heard the phone cutting out. Gah NO!
Emily:I..shhhh..Go...shhhhh....Ca..shhhhhh...ouu...shhhhh
Then the phone cut out.
GAAAAAAARRRRAHHHHHHH at the reception here. I'll call her later.

I turn to Nick's room, and knock.

Nick:Come in.
Maz: Hey, can we talk?
Nick: Uh yeah sure. Sit down. If this is about last night I'm so sorry, I don't knowwhat came over me.
Maz: It's ok. It's fine. I thought you might feel awkward, and I don't want the rest of my stay here to be, you know with the whole, yeah, that uh happend.
Nick: Uh, I'm not that awkward. It wasn't really anything right?
Maz: Oh, uh no, uh I guess it was just the right moment.
Nick: Uh yeah, umm. So yeah.
Maz: Well I uh better go call my friend Emily who uh anyways I'll talk to you some other time.
Nick: Uh, yeah sure.

I walk out of his room. Kinda dissapointed. I should have never thought it was something. That he had a teensy bit of feelings for me. He even said, it was nothing, just in the moment. Oh Maz, you stupid girl. Thinking you had a chance with a major superstar.
